Say it any way you want to, but if you don’t have a plan (Vision) … Let’s put it this way (and I’m sure you’ve heard it before);

Some of us are very lucky. I happen to be one of those or is it that I have been able to articulate and memorialize my Vision (Dream) of what I wish to accomplish or that I make time to do the work to define my path; maybe a little of both, the latter being my obsession; my passion; the genius of what I do … Discovery.

What’s Your Genius … Who Are You … “Really”
I’ve been meeting with a lot of smart people who should know that to compete in today’s “Modern Business”; success means you have to constantly remain relevant and “Publish” your “Talent” (genius) to let others know (your customers) so that your new potential customers will ALSO be able to distinguish and recognize you from the rest.
You know these words are true but your positive head nods can’t hide your skepticism (or laziness) of what will eventually lead to your competitors business and financial success while you become less and less Visible and eventually Invisible (Hint: Google your name as it relates to your profession. Are you “Invisible” outside of your own Website? What do the Google search results show; does it communicate that you are Relevant or “Old Fashioned” (has-been)? Do you have a Website? A LinkedIn Profile? Are you communicating that you do “Everything” (and the kitchen sink) or do you “Specialize”? Which do you think will grab the most attention to those that matter?
Yes, you have to do something different and start to create Internet Content (blog articles, Social Media, etc.) or hire or collaborate with those whose “Genius” is to promote and market.
